What is the Full Cleveland?


A day of discovery, exersize, and fun at walking speed in one of the great cities in the world.

We walk rain or shine, and you can join us or leave us anywhere along the way.


The Fall 2022 Full Cleveland! Our 14th walk! 


October 22th, 2022

Meet at Little Italy RTA Station, Cleveland OH. Paid parking on E. 119th nearby, street parking around but kinda rare.  


8:00 Little Italy Rapid Station (RTA)

8:20 Head south along Murray Hill Road to Blue Sky Brews to fill up the tanks!!! https://blueskybrews.com/ 

8:40 Head towards Mayfield avenue entrance of Lakeview Cemetery via Overlook Drive


9:00 walk through Lakeview Cemetery

Haserot Angel

Garfield monument

Elliott Ness/Harvey Pekar

Rockefeller

Mausoleums


10:00 Entrance of the Lakeview Cemetery Euclid head west to University Circle


10:15 Western Reserve Historical Society/Crawford Museum $15 per person 


11:30 tour Wade Oval

 

12:00  LUNCH AT India Flame Restaurant, or any of the restaurants nearby.


2:00 Wine tasting at Chateau Hough $15 per person 


3:00 Baseball Heritage Museum at League Park 


Or


The Morgan Museum of Papermaking


4:00 Mitzi Jermans Fine Food and Spirits 


5:00: Asian Town Center 


7:15 Dinner reservations at Haufbrauhaus 

8:00 end

The Blue shoe walk!    The Full Cleveland Slavic Village Kinsman walk started at the Red Chimney restaurant, a long time staple of the area which has survived everything, including COVID. Great diner style breakfasts to be had here. We gathered here, a bunch of folks showed up early in order to get a full breakfast. It's a little harder to get served when 48 people show up! With each group that arrived, my heart lifted because there was a previous FC that had 20 people signed up, but the rainy forecast had only 3 show up for the trip.    Gathering for breakfast before the walk at the iconic Red Chimney Notice that the sign says walk! It's a bit rainy but we have a large contingent of walkers! Our first stop was the George Masaveg Art House. George has lived in these two houses for about 36 years. His ex-wife worked for a canvas print company, and they were going to throw out 4 art prints that didn't meet quality standards. (Cut in t...

Getting excited about the upcoming walk!

We had a meeting last week about the upcoming Full Cleveland -- Slavic Village and Kinsman. It was great to see everyone who wanted to help plan.  I am so grateful for everyone's help.  Special thanks to Steve Sefchik who printed out our potential list of stops and a map of the area. Without him doing that it would have been much more difficult.  Unfortunately I didn't get a group shot! But here's what I had to eat at the Red Chimney.
